Peter Hird Named Valla Dealer of the year

Industrial crane specialist Valla S.p.a hosted its first international dealer conference this week at its production facility in Piacenza Italy. Awards were made to the four most active dealers, along with a special award for the most cranes sold over the past 12 months. The Top Dealer award was won by Valla UK, the company’s dealer for the UK and Ireland in a close run contest with Benelux dealer Ferilab..

Peter Hird Junior, Managing director of Valla UK, accepted the awards from Antonio Valla, grandson of the company’s founder and Maurizio Manzini managing director.

The meeting included the unveiling of an improved version of the popular 20E model and a demonstration of the company’s recently launched 8 tonne 360 degree slew mini crawler crane the 80D TRX.

The New Valla 20E launched October 23rrd 2004

The massive 900E which can pick and carry up to 90 tonnes was also put through its paces travelling around the yard with a mere 60 tonnes on the hook.

Hird has represented Valla in the UK for four years and worked with the manufacturer to develop the 20 TRX which is now proving popular with local authorities repositioning unsafe or fallen grave stones.
