Rose Access orders more spiders

Aberdeen, Scotland-based Rose Access Solutions has ordered two more Teupen Leo 18GT tracked spiders from Teupen’s UK and Ireland distributor Ranger Equipment. The company now has a fleet of five Teupen spider lifts.

The 18GT is one of the first in the Leo series to be revamped with Teupen’s ‘facelift’ enhancements making the machines easier to use, more efficient and reliabile. The improvements include self-levelling stabilisers, remote control drive, and a low maintenance electrostatic dipped finish.

Rose Access purchased three 12.8 metre Leo13GTs when it launched earlier this year, acquiring a 23 metre Leo 23GT and 30 metre Leo30T shortly afterwards.

Although Rose is a new company, owner Gary Rose has more than 20 years experience in access rental. He has previously worked in sales and fleet management with, HSS and Nationwide Access.

He said: “We carried out considerable research into tracked access platform designs before investing in our fleet. Teupen machines provided the quality, innovation and functionality that wanted. We were also impressed with Ranger’s support and back-up service which had a major influence on our decision process.”

Rose Access prides itself on offering specialist consultation and technical solutions to overcome the challenges of working in difficult areas and sensitive environments. As well as the spider lifts, the company rents specialist booms and scissor lifts and provides IPAF operator training courses.

“We are educating customers familiar with more conventional platforms about the versatility of the Leo machines,” says Rose. “With their narrow tracked chassis, low surface loads and low point loadings,the tracked machines can do everything a wheeled boom does and much more besides.”
