Trico and Modern team up

North American aerial lift rental company Trico Lift, has signed a co-operation agreement with fork lift and material handling distributor Modern Group of Bristol, Pennsylvania.

Trico will promote and sell Modern’s product range to its customers, while Modern will promote Trico Lift’s aerial lift sales and rentals to its customer base.
As part of the agreement, Modern will sell some of its aerial lift fleet to Trico, taking its fleet to 4,000 units. Trico and Modern also will co-locate facilities in King of Prussia and Allentown, Pennsylvania, while Trico Lift will acquire Modern's Baltimore branch. Please register to see all images



The two companies say that the agreement will “improve customer service levels and leverage the financial performance and investments of both firms”.

Trico currently has nine locations in the Mid-Atlantic, Midwest and Gulf region, offering boom lifts, scissor lifts and telescopic handlers.

Modern was founded in 1946 and is an employee owned company, and is the Hyster dealer for New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware, with 15 branches and around 350 employees. It also offers Lull and Skytrak telehandlers and JLG and Genie aerial lifts.
