Truck mount tips in Lobez
A 16 metre truck telescopic truck mounted lift tipped over in the town centre of Lobez, Poland on Monday – possibly due to insufficient outrigger spread?

The lift's outrigger jacks were set up within the machines width
One man was in the platform removing Christmas lights when the unit went over he managed to remain in the platform which struck the pavement/sidewalk and came to rest. He also suffered three broken ribs and caused damage to a parked car.

The operator received three broken ribs
Another man sitting in the cab of the lift also received minor injuries. It looks like a clear case of overextension of the boom for the outrigger base. The stabilisers have been set up within the vehicles width but it would seem that there are no functioning cut outs to limit the outreach to match the load in the platform.

The lift damaged at least one car
We understand that the lift is owned by a local electrical contractor. Note the two spectators on the roof of a building opposite.
