£14 million order for JCB

JCB has confirmed a £14 million order for 350 machines to Kent, UK, -based H E Services. The announcement was made during a visit to JCB Transmissions, Wrexham by the UK's chancellor of the exchequer, George Osborne..

The order includes 535-95, 535-125 and 540-170 telescopic handlers, along with mini excavators, backhoe loaders and skid steer loaders. The machines will be supplied by JCB dealer Greenshields JCB.

JCB chief executive Alan Blake said: “This order follows a number of major deals JCB has secured so far this year and we are delighted that a company of H. E. Services’ reputation has chosen our products when updating its fleet. This year has certainly got off to a flying start, our order books are in their healthiest position for four years and at this stage the outlook for the rest of 2011 is extremely promising.”

H.E. Services is based in Strood, Kent. Founded in 1972, is the UK’s largest specialist excavator hire company and boasts a rental fleet of more than 2,000 from 12 depots. As well as its rental business, the company is also known for the network of ‘Diggerland’ theme parks.
