Imer Access formed

The Imer group has appointed Paolo Pianigiani to head up Imer Access a new division that incorporates Iteco.

The company says that Imer Access will encompass all of its access activities, including production, sales and service into a single specialist division within the group. However at this point it does not include the IHImer spider lifts that are built for the group by Platform Basket – these products are handled within the construction division.

Paolo Pianigiani

While Pianigiani takes over as business unit director, he will maintain his current responsibilities which include the group’s strategic marketing and coordination of its commercial branches.

The new division will be based at Pegognaga, Mantua, the current home of Iteco, with all scissors and self-propelled booms continuing to carry the Iteco brand.

Pianigiani said: “I will coordinate a working team of qualified and determined people, aiming to increase significantly the value of the Imer Access division during 2011. New important challenges, both in the home and foreign market, are waiting for us.”

“The sale of the Iteco branded products in Italy is carried out directly, through the big names of the Italian rental sector and through customers of our services sector. Abroad the activity is developed directly with the big hirers, exclusive distribution agreements and prestigious commercial agreements – such as our venture with Godrej in India."

"We currently market our products in Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, Germany, France, Spain, and the Middle East and have specific contracts in Russia and India."

The Imer Group now includes four production divisions:
-Imer Equipment - construction machinery and mortar spraying and conveying machinery.
-Imer Access - scissor and articulated boom self-propelled aerial platforms.
-Concrete Machinery -batching plants and machines for transporting concrete.
-Construction Equipment - mini excavators, skid-steer loaders, tracked mini dumpers and tracked aerial work platforms.
