Terex Cranes has booked a 40 crane order from Empire Crane at Conexpo this week.

The order, worth over $20 million, includes the new Roadmaster 9000 truck crane, RT 100 and RT 130 rough terrain cranes and AC 350/6, AC 250-1, AC 100/4L All Terrains.

Empire purchased its first Terex Cranes at Conexpo, 2002, shortly after the company was founded by brothers Luke and Paul Lonergan.

Terex chief executive Ron DeFeo said he was Impressed by the determination and potential of the enthusiastic new team and convinced that there was something that Terex Cranes could do “to help them crack the door open”, and invited them to become Terex dealers.

Today, Empire Crane operates across three locations in the North East of the USA and has become one of the largest Terex crane distributors. The company won a Terex Cranes Sales Award in 2008 and 2009, and a Parts Distributor Recognition Award in 2009. The company also offers a number of other specialist crane lines including Mantis (Tadano), Manitex and Grove YardBoss.

Luke Lonergan said: “At Empire Crane, we are highly focused on the quality of the products and service that we provide. With signs of an upward trend, we are feeling optimistic about the future. This 40 unit order will ensure that we are ready to provide the solutions that our customers need, as soon as they need them.”

DeFeo added: “In addition to intrinsic product quality, responsive customer service support is paramount to building the strong partnerships our customers need to rely on. We are honoured that Empire Crane has put its trust and confidence in our company and look forward to providing them with the cranes and efficient support they need to support the success of their business today, and in the years to come.”
