Rapid goes green

Family-run, Bishop’s Stortford-based access company Rapid Platforms (based near Stansted Airport) has expanded its fleet this year focusing on eco-friendly machines.
The company – which has developed a reputation for supplying specialist platforms - is the first to offer the 17 metre working height Nifty Lift Height-Rider 17 Hybrid for hire. Earlier this month it also purchased a new 29 metre working height Falcon FS-290 spider platform.

Managing Director Alistair Jordan said: "Both the FS-290 and HR17 have hybrid engines, making them eco-friendly and perfect for both indoor and outdoor work. With new machines such as these, we are now able to offer cutting edge, eco-friendly equipment without sacrificing anything in terms of quality – a long anticipated move towards greener access.”
