Higher Access gains accreditation

Manchester UK-based spider lift rental specialist Higher Access has achieved ISO9001 accreditation – the quality management evaluation system.

The certification ensures that the company has documented procedures, polices and standards in place in all areas of the business including purchasing, operations, administration, sales, human resources and heath and safety. The company has been an IPAF Rental Plus accredited company since August 2009.

Higher Access decided to introduce the standard prior to its planned new depot openings - it opened a depot in Oxford earlier this month.

“The primary driver was to ensure that we were operating efficiently and effectively as a company and to ensure that our customers receive a consistent quality product and service offering,” said director Paul Hyde, “in addition the benefit of having our systems and processes audited internally and externally has enabled us to improve and maintain the high standards that we already operate.”

“A large number of our customers have already adopted ISO9001 and in some cases ISO14001, it was evident to us that we needed to demonstrate our commitment by achieving the same accreditation. As part of our business plan our objective is to work towards ISO14001 which will evaluate our environmental management systems.”
