Man electrocuted in lift

A painter using an aerial lift to paint the outside of a new store, was electrocuted yesterday in Pialba, Queensland, Australia.

The man, John Appelhof, had to be rescued from the raised platform by the emergency services, paramedics performed CPR at the scene and he was transported to hospital in a critical condition. He died later as a result of his injuries.

Workplace Health and Safety officers are investigating the incident.
