Safway acquires Atlantic Hoisting

Wisconsin based scaffold company Safway Services has acquired Atlantic Hoisting & Scaffolding of Carlstadt, New Jersey.

Atlantic is one of the largest specialist scaffolders in the New York City area and offers Alimak Hoists and Hek mast climbers, in addition to traditional scaffolding. The company was founded over 50 years ago and offers a full range of design and installation services.

The company’s expertise has been called on for a number of high rise and high profile projects in New York City, including work on the September 11th Memorial Museum, Freedom Tower, The Jacob K. Javits Convention Center Renovation, The United Nations Building and The JP Morgan Chase Headquarters.

Safway Services’ chief executive Marc Wilson said: “With this acquisition, Safway adds expertise in hoisting solutions for complex metropolitan projects to its leading capabilities in engineering, safety and project management of scaffolding and access solutions services. Safway Services was founded in 1936 and has its headquarters in Waukesha, Wisconsin. It operates through a network of 85 branch locations throughout the U.S.A and Canada. Its access range includes Scaffold, Suspended platforms, hoists and mast climbers.
