Fatal telehandler accident
We have received a report, confirmed by the local media that a man died yesterday after a telehandler overturned on a building site in Newbury, UK. It was carrying a load of bricks and timber at the time and the boom appears to have been retracted.
We understand that the dead man, Mark Williams, 41, was the machine’s operator it occurred on a town centre site operated by the contractor Costains. It seems that the man was declared dead at the scene. The Health & Safety Executive is investigating.
