Socage to unveil three platforms at Apex
Italian platform manufacturer Socage will unveil three brand new models at Apex in September.
The A314 NAT (Natural Aerial Transport) is mounted on an Ecomile FAAM truck powered by a 96 volt AC electric motor and a 150 Ah Li-Po lithium-ion battery. The truck mounted platform has a claimed travel range of about 100 km and has a maximum speed of 80 km per hour. One of the benefits of the A314 NAT is that it can operate silently, particularly important when working indoors or in residential areas.

Socage will also launch another compact model - the A314 UP (Urban Platform) - mounted on a Piaggio Porter and with the A314 NAT is part of a new range of compact City models. The A314 UP has similar performance to the A314 NAT and measures 4,430 mm long and 1,580 mm wide.

The third new model is the 20 metre T320 mounted on 3.5 tonne Nissan Cabstar and will be the largest in the current range (which includes the T315, T316 and T318). The new T320 has an outreach of 11 metres and a 225kg platoform capacity.
Equipped with a ‘within the mirrors’ stabilising system with extendible front outriggers (one or both open) this unit gives the operator three different configurations. The T320 has 360 degree continuous slew and 180 degrees of platform rotation as standard.
Socage will also be show its new TJ35 with 30 metres of outreach. Mounted on Mercedes Axor 1829 4x2 (with modified 3900 mm wheelbase). The platform features Socage’s innovative rear stabilisation system in which the crossbeams have two hydraulic extensions increasing the stabilisation area up to eight meters improving side stability as well as outreach.
