Nacanco opens new facilities
Italian access and telehandler rental company Nacanco has opened two new purpose built facilities in its top two markets – Milan and Rome as it celebrates its 10th anniversary of opening in Italy.
The Milan opening occurred on July 14th with the company hosting over 200 local customers to a presentation of the new buildings with a party afterwards. Last night it was the turn of Rome with a similar presentation.

The yard n Milan
While Milan is in the in the heart of the company’s ‘home territory’ – headquarters are in nearby Brescia – the company has only been operating in Rome since 2006. However the company started looking for new premises as early as 2007. A plot was found not far from its original location with around 2,500 square metres of high ceilinged warehouse space and around 4,500 square metres of open yard.

The new Rome facility
The location has a fleet of between 350 and 450 aerial lifts with typically 250 to 300 of them out on rent at any one time. Part of the company’s 350 unit national telehandler fleet, many of them 360 degree Dieci and Manitou models – are also based in Rome, which also serves as a ‘hub depot’ for its South Central region.

The new buildings have been developed not only to provide more space for a larger fleet, but also to make the operations more efficient and to adopt environmentally friendly policies-such as using solar panels to provide the heat and electricity, recycling the water and cleaning the wash-down residues before emitting it to the sewer system.
