Petrobras safety officers complete training

Brazilian multi-national energy and oil production company Petrobras – one of the largest companies in Latin America - is evaluating the IPAF operator training course.

A group of its safety officers completed the IPAF operator training at the plant in Rio de Janeiro. The company intends to establish high training standards for platform operators in all its plants across Brazil.

“Oil refineries are an important work at height sector, where safety and best practice are paramount,” said Romina Vanzi, IPAF’s representative in Latin America. “We are pleased that Petrobras recognises the high quality of the IPAF operator training programme and that it is raising the standard for operator training across all its plants.”

Those who successfully complete the IPAF training receive a PAL Card (Powered Access Licence), which is valid for five years.
