Two new senior managers at Hewden

UK based rental company Hewden has appointed Mark Albiston operations director and Lyndsay Glover as head of HR.

Albiston’s role at Hewden is a new one heading Hewden’s service delivery and infrastructure, this includes managing the national depot network and ensuring compliance with health and safety and environmental legislation, as well as refining the company’s support network to improve customer service levels.

Mark Albiston

He joins the company from Yodel (formerly the Home Delivery Network) where he was customer operations director. He said: “There’s a solid wealth of experience in the Hewden organisation. Customers come to us because we are experts in our field. It’s my job to build on this talent and refine our service delivery to ensure that we continue to deliver the right support, in sectors as diverse as construction, infrastructure, industrial, events management and environmental.”

Glover will manage the company’s existing human resources team, helping to train and develop the skills of more than 1,400 Hewden employees. She will also be responsible for delivering and growing the company’s popular graduate recruitment scheme as well as increasing the number of apprenticeship opportunities available to school leavers.

Lyndsay Glover

She joins Hewden from HP Information Security where she was HR director, particularly responsible for employee training and development both in the UK and overseas.

She said: “I’m looking forward to the challenge of developing the skills and career prospects of such a diverse range of employees, from the new talent that we bring in to the business through to the company’s longstanding members of staff that have been delivering great customer service for many years.”
