Steffen Klusmann, editor-in-chief of the Financial Times Deutschland, said: "Margarete Haase is the best possible proof that women are now indispensable even in male-dominated industries and in core functions such as finance."
"I am delighted to have received this honour," said: Haase. "For me, the title 'Female Manager of the Year' is more than just a recognition of my personal achievement. This is something that will encourage younger woman to have faith in their own ability – its value in terms of providing a role model should not be underestimated".
