Marchetti appoints UK and Ireland dealer

Italian crane manufacturer Marchetti has appointed Stratford-upon-Avon based AGD Equipment as its UK and Ireland distributor for its range of telescopic crawler cranes, truck cranes and All Terrain cranes.

AGD is a family-owned construction equipment sales, rental and service company formed more than 30 years ago, specialising in crawler cranes, mini cranes, telescopic crawler cranes and piling equipment. The company distributes IHI crawler cranes, RTG leader rigs, Giken silent pilers, Mait foundation equipment, CZM and THW piling equipment, IHC Vermeer MT mini piling equipment and Fambo hydraulic piling hammers and leaders.

Its four acre purpose-built facility in Stratford upon Avon, Warwickshire includes a fully equipped workshop with 25 tonne overhead crane, fabrication shop with fume extraction, large wash bay with water recycling system plus a state of the art paint centre with baking oven, extraction system and the ability to finish equipment in two pack solid paint.

It has a rental fleet of more than 120 items including more than 90 crawler and mini cranes, (second largest fleet in the UK – Cranes & Access Top 30 Rental Companies 2011) telescopic crawler cranes, pile driving rigs, telescopic leader rigs, CFA piling rigs, bored piling rigs and soil mixing equipment.

AGD has been appointed UK and Ireland distributor for Marchetti's range of telescopic crawler cranes, truck cranes and all terrain cranes.

Pictured above is a 70 tonne Marchetti Sherpa CW70.42 telescopic crawler crane with 42 metre boom. AGD says that it will be add two of these units to its hire fleet early next year.
