10 Multitel spiders for Gardemann

Gardemann, the German subsidiary of Lavendon has recently taken delivery of 10 units of Multitel Pagliero’s 22.5 metre SMX 225 tracked spider lift.

The new lifts incorporate a number of features specific to Gardemann’s requirements but broadly speaking they are the latest version of the Multitel SMX 225.

The SMX 225 uses the boom configuration from Multitel’s MX truck mounted lifts, and offers up to 10 metres of working outreach and an up and over reach of 10.5 metres, throughout 360 degrees, yet weighs just 2,550kg in standard format.
Before purchasing Gardemann went through a long test and evaluation process, the fact that the company runs a number of MX truck mounted lifts may have helped the final decision?

The SMX 225 are bi-energy in that they are equipped with both a Kubota diesel engine and an AC electric motor powering a dual speed high torque drive system. The lifts have two outrigger jacking positions with fully automatic single lever levelling. The lift retains its full 360 degree working envelope even when set in the narrow aisle jacking configuration.
