Hewden supports Street League
UK rental company Hewden, is supporting the recently launched Manchester area location of the charity Street League.
Street League works with 16-25 year olds who are Not in Employment, Education or Training, young offenders and substance misusers, engaging them in structured football and education programmes, with a view to getting them into work, mainstream education or training. Currently 72 percent of participants go on to make a positive change in their lives by getting a job or going back into education.
To support the Street League programme, Hewden, will provide mentors and work experience days to assist participants who are looking to pursue a career in the construction industry. The charity has already proven to be effective in London, Newcastle and Glasgow. Its services in Manchester were launched at the end of November.
