Utility worker electrocuted
A man working on overhead power lines from the bucket of a utility/service truck was electrocuted on Monday in Borger Texas.
The man, Anthony Manzella, 19, was repairing a line feeding privately owned oil wells behind the Conoco Phillips oil refinery in the town when he was electrocuted. He remained in the bucket and had to be brought down by a ground crew.
Manzella worked for B&G Electric Company in Borger, which has declined to comment on the incident. While full details are not yet available we understand that the fatality was NOT caused by the inadvertent use of the lift or by accidently contacting the power lines.
