Record year for Socage

Italian truck mounted and spider lift manufacturer Socage has reported another record year in 2011 as sales climb almost 21 percent.

The company, which is privately held, says that revenues in 2011 reached €34.5 million, almost 90 percent higher than when the current owners acquired the business from Fassi at the end of 2009.

The company says that 2012 should see further increases as it launches a number of new products and variants, as well as entering the South American market.

Chief executive Fiorenzo Flisi said: "We have just opened, a South American sales branch, called GS Industria e Comercio de Equipamentos Hidraulicos, in Piracicaba – Brazil, in partnership with a local insulated aerial platform manufacturer and are sure that it will gain important results."
