Platform Sales & Hire celebrates 10 years

UK based access sales and rental company Platform Sales & Hire has celebrated 10 years in business.

The company was formed in Leighton Buzzard in 2001 by ex-UpRight employees Chris Caney and Duncan Howard, originally as a pure sales company supplying new and used access equipment, along with bespoke access solutions for the aviation and rail markets.

Having gradually entered the rental market, the company expanded this part of the business in 2010 with the acquisition of Bucks Access Rentals of Milton Keynes. Last year the locations were merged into a new location in Bleak Hall, Milton Keynes.

The business is still run by managing director Caney and sales director Howard, assisted by hire manager Tony Sabatini and account manager Steve Ottewill with 76 year industry experience between them.

Speaking of the achievement Caney said: “The 10 years have passed amazingly quickly, and we would like to thank all of the companies and business friends who have helped us over this period.”
