First Socage for Nationwide

Lavendon group member Nationwide Platforms has purchased the UK’s first Socage 13.7 metre A314 truck mounted platform.

Mounted on a short - 2.5 metre wheelbase Euro 5 Nissan Cabstar, the compact unit is said to be ideal for street lighting, local authorities and city centres. Overall dimensions include an overall length of 4.55 metres, a 2.65 metres travel height and 1.85 metres overall width. With stabilisers deployed within the width of the wing mirrors, the unit is 2.3 metres wide.

Nationwide Platforms has purchased the UK’s first Socage A314 truck mounted platform.

Features include continuous rotation, a 225kg platform capacity, 180 degrees platform rotation, seven metres of outreach and available vehicle payload of 300kg.

“We have had a very positive start in the UK to this year particularly as Nationwide Platforms has purchased our first right hand drive HD A314,” said Socage UK director Michela Viviani. “All our UK units are mounted in Kettering by Cumberland Industries, which also deals with the service and support. The A314 boom has been tried and proven on our Land Rover based platforms which have performed well with a lot of good customer feedback both in the UK and Europe.”
