New spiders from Platform Basket

Italian spider and boom lift manufacturer Platform Basket is launching a number of new and updated products at Intermat, including an insulated model that it developed in the USA.

The 15 and 18 metre models 15.75 and 18.75, date back to the time Platform Basket took over the Basket business and have been instrumental in the company’s success since then, are now to be given a major update.

They will become the 15.75 PRO and 18.90 PRO, with new Kubota diesel engines, for more power and lower noise levels, automatic outrigger set up and levelling, a more accurate load limiting device, which will enhance the working envelope, improve electrics and drive system together with dual speed hydraulic motors for greater productivity.

The new Platform Basket 18.90 Pro

The company is also launching battery versions -the 15.75E-Pro, 18.90E-Pro and 22.10 E which is also available in Bi-Energy or ED version. The adoption of a more efficient drive train with inverter technology and brushless electric motors is providing the units with sufficient battery life to make it practical, without the need to go to lithium ion batteries.

The company will also show the 17 metre PB18.90.46 with 46KV insulation, allowing it to work safely alongside live overhead power lines for applications such as tree trimming etc... The model has been developed in co-operation with its distributor in the USA Tracked Lifts.
