Farm Death Wish

A reader in the UK snapped several men working at height on a farm site north of London.

The men were working on a new barn type structure at a farm that is open to the public. We usually see the misuse of telehandlers in agricultural Death Wish submissions. In this case though it is nothing of the sort, one man is balancing on the top beam of the new building, while another is standing on a plank supported by trestles.

Working at height on a UK farm 2012

No effort whatsoever has been made to eliminate the risks of working at height. And all this while families were visiting. Thankfully the young visitors were not faced with a traumatic mess from one of the hire wire team falling.
