Lucky escape for shocked man
A man working from a boom lift received an electric shock in Lynchburg Virginia yesterday, but has escaped with his life.
The man was using a JLG Ultra boom to work on a church spire, when he agreed to help retrieve a child’s balloons from a tree and came into contact with some overhead power lines.

Chief Keith Johnson of the Lynchburg Fire Department said: “This should serve as a very good lesson to all of us. It's a clear case that we all should stay clear of energised electrical equipment even if you are a contractor.”
