First UK Bronto S50XRT-J to Elev8

UK based Elev8 is taking delivery of UK's first 50 metre Bronto S50XDT-J this week, painted a metallic bronze colour.

Mounted on a 26 tonne 6x4 MAN TGS 26.400 chassis the unit boasts a long three section telescopic articulated jib and is capable of an up and over reach of 15.5 metres at a height of around 32 metres, maximum outreach is 36 metres.

Elev8's new Bronto S50XDT in its special brown livery

The unit will be officially handed over to Elev8 managing director Jason Machin later today and is the first of several S50XDT-J’s destined for the UK. Bronto says that the long telescopic jib is becoming a popular configuration, combining the advantages of the company’s articulated HLA range and the Telescopic XDT range with no negative impact on the 700kg platform capacity.
