Hiab launches new model

Hiab has launched a new loader crane at the RAI Exhibition in Amsterdam earlier this month.

The 52 tonne/metre Hiab XS 544 HiPro is the latest model in Hiab’s heavy range and slots in between the existing XS 447 and XS 622 models. It will be available for delivery later this year.

The crane has an outreach of up to 35 metres when fitted with jib and includes an improved boom design that it said to reduce deflection, new telescopic sequencing and 360 degree continuous slew. The XS 544 HiPro also includes Hiab’s Pump Flow Distribution (PFD) system and Automatic Speed Control (ASC) the combination of which can increase capacity by up to 15 percent.
