New Riwal CEO to speak at Europlatform

IPAF has announced the first speaker for the Europlatform conference in Edinburgh this September. Norty Turner of Riwal will speak on rental management techniques, covering performance measures.

The theme of this year’s event, on September 20th, is ‘Success in Access Rentals’,

Turner spent 17 years with Hertz Equipment Rental, both in the USA and in Europe, until joining Riwal in January as the first non Schalekamp family member to lead the company.

Other speakers, yet to be confirmed, will cover topics including: total cost of ownership, trends in finance, forecasting future demand levels, lessons from the German access market, using social media, successfully exploiting telematics, cage safety systems and why sustainability issues matter. The conference will be held in English, with simultaneous translation in German, Italian and Spanish.

The conference will be preceded by an evening networking event on 19 September at the Scotch Whisky Experience, located close to the conference hotel, the Radisson Blu in central Edinburgh. The special “early-bird” delegate rate for the one day conference is £185 discounted to £155 for IPAF members, plus VAT.
