Harwood and Gooding join MEC

MEC has announced the second part of its sales management reorganisation with the appointment of Jack Harwood as North American sales manager and Steve Gooding as regional sales manager

Jack Harwood

Harwood started his career in the aerial lift industry with UpRight in the early 1980’s moving up though the product support operation to take on a number of management roles, in customer service and sales. After leaving Up-Right, he established a highly successful motorbike dealership in Fresno California, culminating in a BMW motorcycle dealership, which he recently sold, freeing him for a new challenge.
He will be responsible for managing the North American sales force and will be based at MECs Kerman, California headquarters and production facility.

At the same time Steve Gooding joins the company as a regional sales manager based in Seattle. Gooding is also an UpRight veteran, having started his career with the California based company in 1972, just as it began building its first scissor lifts, 12 years later he moved to Genie, where he remained for more than twenty five years, leaving in 2010 to join Haulotte as director of technical service, based in Frederick, Maryland.
