Liebherr promotes Strobel and Remlinger
Liebherr has announced the appointment of Joachim Strobel and Wolfgang Remlinger as managing directors of Liebherr-EMtec, the holding company for the group’s earthmoving businesses, based in Kirchdorf an der Iller, Germany.
Remlinger replaces Karl-Heinz Knor who has been managing director with responsibility for finance/accounts, managerial economics, customer services, spare parts and human resources, since 2007, and who is now retiring.
Remlinger joined Liebherr in 1987 as commercial manager at Liebherr- Nenzing, in Austria. In 1999 he was promoted to managing director sales for duty cycle crawler cranes, ship cranes, offshore cranes and mobile harbour cranes. In January of this year he moved to Liebherr-Hydraulikbagger as commercial director, a post he retains.

Strobel replaces Hermann Moll, managing director of worldwide sales of earthmoving equipment who is retiring after almost 20 years with the company.
Strobel joined Liebherr in 1997 as general manager of Saudi Liebherr Company Ltd. in Jeddah, then as managing director sales for Liebherr-Export in Nussbaumen, Switzerland. He is currently managing director sales for Liebherr-Hydraulikbagge, a position he will retain.
