Strong attendance at IPAF summit
The IPAF summit and AGM was very well attended yesterday, for a session, largely devoted to the new Work at Height Rules/Directive and safety harnesses.
The range of speakers was drawn from the HSE, UK rental industry and included Leigh W Sparrow, managing director of the Vertikal Press, owner of Vertikal.Net.
The most contentious subjects were those relating to harnesses and rescue from larger aerial work platforms. IPAF issued took the opportunity to launch a number of new initiatives, including, its H1 note on the wearing of harnesses, the free use of the Institute of Directors business advisory, service and free first years with claim control insurance claim monitoring product.
