Sauer Danfoss appoints new CEO
Hydraulic and electronic systems and component manufacturer Sauer Danfoss has appointed Eric Alström as its new chief executive, succeeding Sven Ruder.
The appointment is effective October 5th.

Eric Alström
Alström has more than 20 years of experience in the automotive industry, most recently as managing director of German chassis and parts specialist Benteler Automotive. Prior to this he held several senior leadership positions at General Motors in the US, Asia and Europe.
Jørgen Clausen, chairman of the Sauer Danfoss board, said: “I am very happy to welcome Eric to Sauer-Danfoss. I believe his background and track record makes him the ideal candidate to take the company to the next level, sustaining and developing the business. I would also like to thank Sven for his contribution to the Danfoss Group during the past 22 years, including the last four years with Sauer-Danfoss.
