Sany appoints port equipment dealers
Sany America has appointed equipment distributor Binder Machinery of South Plainfield, New Jersey and Atlantic Machinery of Richmond, Virginia as its first American port equipment dealers.
Binder and Atlantic Machinery will be responsible for the sales and service of Sany reach stackers and empty-container handlers throughout North America. They will initially focus on its RSC45C2 reach stacker and its three model empty-container handler range.
The RSC45C2 reach stacker can stack containers up to five high and offers a maximum lifting capacity of 45 tonnes. It has a capacity of up to 45 tonnes lifting the first row of containers, 31 tonnes lifting the second and 15 tonnes lifting the third. Powered by a 335HP Cummins diesel engine it has a maximum reach of 15.2 metres and weighs 80 tonnes. Additional attachments include an intermodal spreader, a tilting attachment and a log stacker.

Kyle Nape, vice president of global sales and marketing at Sany America said: “Sany port machines are in use at some of the busiest ports and intermodal yards in the world. We’re bringing that substantial product experience into North America for the first time, starting with two important products. Our plan is to expand our offerings in the near future to serve an even bigger part of the cargo transportation market.”

The three empty-container handler models can stack six, seven and eight containers high, respectively
Binder Machinery was founded in 1957 and sells machines to contractors and equipment rental businesses throughout the New Jersey state. The company currently represents Kobelco Cranes, Tadano, JLG, Sennebogen and more recently has agreed to distribute Sany cranes.

Richmond, Virginia based equipment distributor Atlantic Machinery & Equipment was established in 1991 and is currently the dealer for Italian loader crane manufacturer Fassi.
