Kiloutou acquires Starlift

Kiloutou the French general rental group, has acquired Starlift’s locations and fleet in Eastern France and Luxembourg.

The deal includes around 330 machines, comprising 260 aerial lifts and 70 telehandlers. The company which is part of Groupe Fabri, had revenues of around €5 million last year and employs 24. Its four locations in France include Reims, Strasbourg, Ennery and Cernay and then there is a single location in Luxembourg.

The business, which was founded in 2002, will continue to trade separately until next year, but adds to Kiloutou’s 24 locations in the region and will give it a powered access fleet of over 1,000 units, while giving it an entry into the Luxembourg market.
Xavier Maucourt of Starlift will continue to manage the business and will join the Kiloutou regional management team.

This latest acquisition follows Kiloutou’s earlier take overs of Médiac'Up Atlantique in December 2010, the work at height activities of Altéad in June 2011 and BM Loc and de Top Loc in November 2011.
