New crane sales at RMB open day

South Australian crane, access and telehandler sales and service company RMB recently held an open day at its Largs Bay facility, during which it handed over a new 100 tonne Grove GMK4100 to Sunraysia Cranes and took an order for another.

RMB moved into the new facilities three years ago, the company sells and services a wide range of products, including Maeda mini cranes, Grove, Manitowoc and National cranes, Hyva/Ferrari loader cranes and Haulotte aerial lifts and telehandlers. Along with a range of accessories such as LSI Robway overload systems.

Crane displays at the event included a Grove RT 765E- 2, Ferrari 719 and 14 other Ferrari loader cranes a Haulotte Optimum 8 scissor lift, two ready built Hyva Hook loaders, LSI Robway equipment, Nobles lifting and rigging equipment and the Grove 4100 in the company’s special paint booth.

The sale of the Grove 4100 to Sunraysia Cranes of Mildura was announced at the event and owners Martin and Heather Hurley were presented with commemorative gifts. Sunraysia also announced an order for a 220 tonne five axle Grove GMK 5220. The unit which comes with a 68 metre main boom, will be equipped with a total system length of 108 metres.

Sunraysia says the new crane will be used on various applications including bridges, mines, pumps, wineries, wind farms, airports and commercial buildings, the new unit takes its fleet to 10 Cranes.

RMB also announced a new crane and access Field Service division headed up by Neville Siostrom.
