Cramo to close NASDAQ
Vesa Koivula of Finnish rental company Cramo will ring the closing bell at the NASDAQ Stock Market in New York today, in celebration of its 60th anniversary.
The honour marks 60 years since the founding of its major predecessor Rakentajain Konevuokraamo.
Chief executive Vesa Koivula said: “The opening and closing bells of The NASDAQ Stock Market in New York mark the beginning and end of the trading day. Only a few Finnish companies in a year have a chance to participate in the ceremony. The ceremony featuring the bell ringer is also broadcast live on international TV channels and on the NASDAQ tower screen in the Times Square.”
