ATN expands production

French boom and scissor lift producer ATN is moving into a new 10,000 square metre production plant.

The new facility is located in Fauillet close to the current plant in Tonneins, the larger facility will not only allow the company to increase production, but also allow it to combine the commercial and production offices in the new building – they are currently located in different parts of Tonneins.

The current facility will now be dedicated to the new platform development and engineering department. Sales director, David Beltram said: "ATN aims to continue to expand the range and bring new improvements for existing models. In this context, ATN will dedicate the plant in Tonneins to the design and testing of new prototypes before their launch on the market.”

Vertikal Comment

We understand that this move comes on the back of at least one new investor in the business which has grown steadily over the past five years since it began exporting.

The products are designed specifically with an eye towards rental companies thanks to ownership by Danielle Duclos, the originator of the Toucan mast boom and founder of rental company Access Industrie.

In recent years the company has made steady but substantial progress in expanding its geographic coverage and breaking into several international rental companies such as Loxam Hertz and Lavendon. This latest move will certainly allow it to cope with the new products and move up a gear.
