Outreach invests £1.25 million
Scottish truck mounted platform rental company Outreach has purchased three new Wumag Palfinger platforms - a 45 metre, a 53 metre and 70 metre. The company says that the £1.25 million spend on the three new truck mounts has created Scotland’s largest independent truck mounted rental company and the 70 metre machine is the largest to be based in Scotland.

Scottish truck mounted platform rental company Outreach has purchased three new Wumag Palfinger platforms - a 45 metre, a 53 metre and 70 metre.
Gary Potts, managing director - sales and marketing, Outreach, said: “This latest substantial investment by Outreach underlines our serious intent to grow our access division. Our experience over the past few years in this sector indicates there is real customer demand to hire specialist machines based in Scotland rather than incur the extra costs and time to bring them up from down south. With this investment, we are confident that we can satisfy the widest demands from our base in central Scotland.”
"The machines will be hired for a wide variety of uses including property maintenance and repairs, television and film production, major outdoor events and increasingly, in the service and maintenance of onshore wind farms."
Outreach Access offers the hire, sale, servicing, repair and maintenance of access equipment, as well as testing and training facilities at its Central Scotland HQ. Purchased from Palfinger's UK distributor Leicestershire-based Skyking, the three new machines join the Outreach fleet of truck, van and trailer mounted access platforms, scissors and self propelled booms including truck mounted access platforms.
Outreach Access also sells a range of new and used access equipment, including the Ascendant Access range of truck and van mounted access platforms as well as scissors and self propelled booms from Snorkel, JLG, Genie and Skyjack as well as being an accredited Training Centre for PASMA, ALLMI and IPAF.
