Holland Lift to restructure UK distribution

Hoorn based heavy duty scissor lift manufacturer Holland Lift is planning to change the way it does business in the UK Market.

The changes are expected to be fully effective from January 1st 2013 and will include a move away from Russon Access, which has distributed the company’s products over the past eight years.

Holland Lift says that its aim is to increase the total resources available for both selling and supporting its growing product line. The company is in the final stages of finalising the details of the new plans and expects to roll them out in mid-December. The change is part of a larger expansion programme that the company is currently putting in place that may also bring in some new outside investors to help fund further increases in capacity and reduce the current lead times.

The move is likely to include the closure of Russon Access, which is jointly owned by Alan Russon and Holland Lift. We understand that as a part of this process Russon Access will be subject to an orderly liquidation.

Holland Lift sales director Menno Koel said: “We are excited about the changes we are planning for the UK market which has grown from nothing to be one of our most important international markets. We would like to thank Alan for all his efforts over the past eight years, he has in that time put Holland Lift on the map, introducing our products to a large number of major UK rental companies and been a solid champion for the company.”
