20 Terex tower crane for Russian contractor
Russian construction company Lider group has purchased 20 Terex CTT 161A-8TS tower cranes from Terex dealer RLS STC Gruzopodemnye Mashiny.
The Italian built flat top cranes have a maximum capacity of eight tonnes and can handle 1.4 tonnes at the 65 metre jib tip. Maximum free standing height of the cranes is 65 metres.
All 20 units feature the Terex EVO 1 operators cab for designed to offer quick set-up, excellent visibility and new levels of operator comfort. Low temperature and collar kits have also been ordered for each model. All 20 cranes will be delivered by the end of this year.
Lider director Aleksandr Nikolaevich Nekrasov said: “The versatility and all-round lifting performance of the CTT 161A-8 TS is particularly well-suited for the intensive operation and scope of applications we need. Besides the savings we’ll make as the owners of a tower crane fleet dedicated to our needs, we are confident that when they are not on our jobsites, the advantages of renting cranes of this operating efficiency and capacity is something that other companies will be quick to seize.”
The first units will go to work on the construction of one of Russia’s largest, residential and marina developments in the port of Saint Petersburg.
