Snorkel M1230Es for Skylab
Swedish rental company Skyab has purchased 12 Snorkel 12ft M1230E self-propelled lifts.
Skyab ordered the lifts from Snorkel’s distributor Zip-Up Svenska, whose chief executive Rickard Holmlund said: "This type of electric mast lift has always been popular in Sweden, as it delivers a very good return on investment for rental companies and is a straightforward product for their customers to use."
Skylab was established in 1988 by Timo Hacksell and Tor Aarnio with a number of Simon Boxer boom lifts, in the 1990s the company purchased Grow Manlift units, then formed a partnership with Haulotte in 2001.
Hacksell bought Aarnio out in 2005 and gradually expanded the business adding JLG, Dino, Omme and UpRight platforms, including a large number of TM12s, the predecessor of the M1230E. The company currently runs a fleet of around 180 lifts from its base in Södertälje to the south west of Stockholm.
