Barin Underbridge to Queensland
Underbridge platform specialist Barin has delivered a new specially designed AB16/S bridge inspection platform to Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal in MacKay, Queensland, Australia.
The new lift has been acquired to carry out inspection work on the terminal’s 3.8 kilometre long jetty.

The bucket-type aerial platform, which can work both underbridge and overhead, is mounted on a Scania P400 LB 8x4 chassis and offers up to 16 metres of horizontal underbridge outreach, a maximum working height of 21.5 metres, while reaching 22 metres below ground, clearing bridge barriers of up to five metres high, while spanning sidewalks of up to 5.5 metres. Maximum platform capacity is 300kg, the working width is just 2.5 metres.

The terminal is part of the world’s largest coal export port in Australia and exports 85 million tonnes of coal per annum from central Queensland’s Bowen basin mines to customers all around the world.

The new lift was purchased through the Barin’s exclusive distributor for Australia, Brisbane based Lincon Hire.
