4 Point Lift Systems sold to investor group

The American based company 4 Point Lift Systems Inc has been acquired by an investment group, comprising Bruce and Bonnie Forster of Rigging Gear Sales, Ron Hall of Mid-Atlantic Lift Systems of Williamsburg Virginia and Glenn and Sue Blair. who have had a relationship with Lift systems that goes back over more than18 years.

The sale follows the retirement of founder, owner and CEO Gary Lorenz.

Lorenz, is credited as the originator of the telescopic hydraulic gantry which he produced at Riggers Manufacturing in 1980. After having sold his interest in Riggers in 1983 Lorenz founded lift systems Inc.

Rigging Gear Sales, has been associated with 4 point Lift systems since it was started in 1988, culminating in the joint venture purchase of Riggers manufacturing in 2002. Ron Hall of Mid-Atlantic Lift Systems, is 4 points distributor in Virginia and North Carolina, Glenn Blair has been the Lift Systems CPA for 18 years.

The acquisition is entirely amicable and the new owners are “committed to making the transition as seamless as possible.” The company will assume its former name, Lift Systems Inc.

Prior to his involvement with telescopic lifting gantries, Lorenz had a career in the mobile crane market, serving with Link Belt, Sargent, P&H and Grove.
