Palfinger mountain rescue

Norwegian rental company Drammen Liftutleie has taken delivery of the largest aerial lift certified for mountain security work on Norwegian roads.

The 61 metre Palfinger WT610 truck mounted lift offers up to 35 metres of outreach, but features a maximum height and outreach de-rate when operating in mountain maintenance work mode, selected by a switch.

The new Palfinger WT610 mountain security platform

The new lift, supplied through Palfinger Norge, is mounted on an MAN TGS 35.440 8X4H-6 BL chassis, with a gross vehicle weight, with all equipment, of 31,500 kg. the unit is equipped with a Käser M 80 compressor which is modified and adapted to the truck, and a Dynaset hydraulic power pack, both of which can be controlled from the basket.

The platform for the new machine was specially made in Denmark

In addition, the access platform is certified for use with drilling and other equipment necessary for work with mountain security work. The basket has been specially built for the work by Danilift AS in Denmark to match specifications provided by the end user, Gjerden fjellsikring.
