Ladder training essential

Spotted by a Vertikal.net reader today, a video clip of two fire fighters working on a ladder that slips.

The clip is sad to watch, clearly two brave men dedicated to saving lives and property putting their duty and job first.

This was almost certain to end in tears

But… The way they are using the ladder, especially given the weather conditions, was sure to end badly. Hopefully neither of them suffered any serious injuries and they are now back at work and far more wary of how they use ladders.

We hate to say it, but if they had not fallen this would have been a definite Death Wish, rather than an accident report.
