Workmen using a boom lift in Brussels’ Grand Place have damaged the façade of the Maison des Ducs de Brabant with the lift’s basket yesterday, while working on the lighting of famous square.

Electricians using a self-propelled boom lift have broken the balustrade of the Maison des Ducs de Brabant building

The men moved the platform too close to the stone balustrade knocking it onto the roof of the building. Fire crews were called in to make the building safe and used a crane and rescue platform.
