Manitou announces new appointments

Manitou has announced a number of new senior management and board appointments.

Chief financial officer Hervé Rochet takes over the company secretary role from Hervé Saulais who will leave the business during the first-half of 2013.

Agnès Michel-Segalen has joined the company as a non-executive director and joined the audit committee member replacing Dominique Bamas. She has worked as an auditor at Arthur Andersen and the Lagardère Group and then with a financial brief within the mergers & acquisitions group at EADS and the Sodexo Group.

Chief executive Dominique Bamas said: "The Manitou group thanks Hervé Saulais for his contribution to the recovery and development of the group in recent years. In the current period of the consolidation of our functions, I'm choosing a closely knit team with intimate knowledge of the group, its customers, its employees and its history”.

This appears to complete the changes that came with the departure of Jean-Christophe Giroux, whose term would have expired in June. The family felt that rather than follow a more adventurous strategy, that Giroux was proposing, it prefers to consolidate its position and exploit the considerable potential it has for organic growth within its three business units.
