Safecontractor accreditation for Alfa
UK based access service and inspection company Alfa Access has achieved Safecontractor accreditation.
Under the Safecontractor scheme, companies undergo a vetting process which examines its health and safety procedures and track record for safe practice. The accreditation is aimed to reassure contractors that the suppliers they use are fully signed up to a safe culture of work with systems and controls in place to help ensure consistency. It is also subject to a renewal and a regular audit.
John Kinge, Safecontractor technical director, said: “Major organisations simply cannot afford to run the risk of employing contractors who are not able to prove that they have sound health and safety policies in place. More companies need to understand the importance of adopting good risk management. The firm’s high standard has set an example which hopefully will be followed by other companies within the sector.”
